Made some progress yesterday on my Police Ghost in the Machine scarf:
I'm about 1/3 of the way through, and the pattern is starting to show. I'm knitting it lengthwise, so the faces will show sideways when I'm wearing it (just to be a little clever!). The black and red also go with my dress winter coat, so I'm going to get a big chuckle out of walking around in my fancy schmancy Burberry wool coat with a GITM scarf!
I don't like intarsia, but I love the Police and the GITM logo enough to put up with it! For anyone else who does this, with the color being as split up as it is, I recommend splitting out three different bobbins of red yarn instead of stranding along the back.
The yarn is Lamb's Pride Bulky, always a favorite.
Thanks to Divemistress of the Dark for the pattern chart!

I love that you're knitting this. And that you're willing to tolerate intarsia for the sheer geeky joy.
Although I suppose band fandoms are not nearly as geeky as the other kind.

Oh, darling, that's where you'd be wrong ... you have to remember that my particular slice of this band fandom is Stewart, who is one of the most geeky, dorkalicious, gooberific, yet totally hot musicians out there. So this band fandom (bandom?) is pretty darn geeky.
