Why are gas prices so high? Why don't they stop that's what i'd like to know.Soon the price will be $5.50 for gas.

It is already higher than that in much of Europe. Part of the problem here is taxes; most of the problem in Europe is as well. The politicians' problem is that the extra revenue isn't going into government treasuries. Many of those complaining the loudest now were in favor of a $0.50 increase in the per gallon tax withing the past two years. Go figure!
